Many people are suffering from high blood pressure and they may have been suffering from it for the majority of their lives. It is a difficulty with dehydration, and not only does it cause the body to be in a weakened state but it may also cause a number of different diseases that can be deadly. For example, dehydration may be at the root of hypertension in many individuals and simply by hydrating their body properly, they may be able to reduce their blood pressure numbers or perhaps even bring them back into a normal range. The problem comes, however, because most people don't realize how to hydrate themselves properly.

So How to cure high blood pressure with water?

The body is made up of almost 95% water and we tend to lose that water all throughout the day. Not only do we sweat the water out, but we even lose massive amounts of water while we are breathing as well as through our normal bodily functions. In order to replace that water, we need to be drinking water throughout the day to keep the levels up. The rough idea of how much water you are going to need is that you should be aiming for half of your body weight every day in ounces of water. For example, a 200 pound man would want to drink 100 ounces of water daily.

It is not enough for you to just drink this water, if you do, it will probably just go through your body and actually flush out other important minerals that you need. You need to make sure that the water is staying in your body long enough for it to do its work. That is why the water cure calls for taking 1/8 of a teaspoon of salt for every pint of water that you drink.

If you have heard that taking salt is bad for high blood pressure, you heard something that is both right and wrong. Salt can hurt your blood pressure numbers if you have a problem with hypertension but it is an imbalance of the water/salt combination in your body that is actually causing this. If you were to balance this out by drinking more water, it would do the same thing as reducing the amount of salt that you are taking and it would hydrate you at the same time.
