According to chromotherapy, diabetes is generally caused by a deficiency of orange and yellow colors in the body. There are two methods of treating diseases by color: by application of light filtered through different colored glasses; and by the external or internal use of color charges water.

In the first method, sheets of glass, measuring 30 cm x 36 cm, of different color are used. These are placed in the windows or at any other convenient place in such way that the sun rays pass through them and fall directly on the patient's body. The usual duration of color treatment is 30 minutes.

In the second method, colored bottles are sued. These bottles are thoroughly cleaned and filled three quarter with fresh well water or distilled water or rain water. The bottles are corked are placed in bright sunlight for three to four hours. After this exposure, the water is said to have acquired medicinal properties and this color charged water is used both internally and for external applications.

Lemon yellow is the color of the pancreas. It is a laxative and diuretic. It is a stimulant for the brain, the liver and the spleen. It is effective in the treatment of diabetes, indigestion, and many other diseases.

Green and orange are also helpful in controlling diabetes. Green is nature's color. Green helps in pituitary gland, which is turn stimulates the thyroid gland. It also stimulates the elimination of the toxic matter. Green charged water in the morning on the empty stomach and before major meals is beneficial is diabetes. Gargling with green-charged water and washing of the eyes with this water is also suggested.

Orange-color breathing has been found beneficial in the treatment of diabetes. An empty orange colored glass bottle, corked at its mouth, should be placed on a piece of wood and exposed to sunlight for about an hour. The patient should then take the cork out and with mouth of the bottle in his mouth inhale the sun-charged air of the bottle for a few minutes. This may be repeated thrice daily. The patient may also drink a cup of sun-charged orange water about 15 or 20 minutes after every major meal.
