For those of you who are suffering from diabetes is there is a simple way that you can enjoy homemade deserts that are made specifically for diabetics. There is one small catch however, you will have to make these treats yourself. This is much easier than it sounds. For your enjoyment, I have written an easy to make cheesecake recipe for diabetics. Take a look at this recipe and you will see that delicious treats are not very hard to make.

First, you make the crust.

1 cup of graham cracker crumbs

2 tablespoons of melted light margarine

Mix these together and press them to the bottom of a greased nine inch baking pan. Now set the pan aside.

Second, you make the filling.

1/4 cup of granulated sugar

3, 8 ounces packages of soft, light cream cheese

2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour

3/4 cup of egg substitute

Mix the sugar, cream cheese and flour together until the mixture becomes fluffy in texture. Slowly add the egg substitute and mix well. Once the batter is well mixed pour it into the pan on top of the pie crust.

Bake the cheesecake in the oven for about an hour at 350 degrees. Once the cheesecake is finished refrigerate it over night.

This recipe will serve up to 16 people.

This diabetic desert is delicious and easy to make. I assure you that once your family and friends, whether they are diabetic or not, taste this taste cheesecake that they will never want to eat store bought deserts ever again. You see making your own diabetic friendly foods, isn't very hard at all.
